Sssshhh... Hindi Movie
After boring you with formula romances, Bollywood has come up with boring formula thrillers.
The formula takes a serial killer, a usual suspect and an unusual suspect. The formula throws in some exotic locales, some mindless gana bajana and some mush, three-way, mind you. Less than mid-way through the killer, you don't care who the killer is. You just wish he kills them all to spare you the trauma.
The story begins with, what else, but a murder. Sister Mehak, and our heroine, played by newcomer Tanishaa, is the next target. Enters lover No 1 (Karan Nath), who soon turns into suspect No 1. But when the heroine is attacked again, lover boy saves her life and his pride. She begins liking him, turning lover No 2 (Dino Morea) jealous and into suspect No 2.
A few attempts later, the killer with a joker's mask begins to look like a joke himself. He is believed to be killed, and our heroine heads off for a time-of in Thailand, two lovers and four friends in tow. The joker resurfaces post-interval.
Now, apply the Bollywood formula. Elementary, my dear.
There are seven youngsters on the island; the killer is one of them. Can't be the heroine. Can't be the usual suspect. It has to be the most unusual suspect. The motive? The most irrelevant detail in the first half has a connection.
Now, you could watch Sssshhh... for that irrelevant detail or you could watch it for two delicious hunks - Morea and Kushal Punjabi -- or Gaurav Kapoor's gags or a racy last 40 minutes.
