Dulha Mil Gaya offers no respite with a very stale storyline that is highly clichéd, predictable and amateurish.

Granted, romantic tales have been the speciality of Bollywood cinema and it has churned out many blockbusters. But taking inspiration from tried-and-tested scripts of the nineties and filming the movie at panoramic locations doesn't justify it as contemporary cinema.

Dulha Mil Gaya is about four different characters and their take on love and marital relationships. Young and smart Tej Dhanraj alias Donsai (Fardeen Khan) is the only heir to the Five Billion Dollar Dhanraj Empire. Just like another guy of his age, Donsai is commitment phobic but to inherit his dad's property, Donsai has no option but to get married to Samarpreet, who is a quintessential Punjabi girl.

On the other hand, Shimmer, a diva from the world of glamour, for who love and relationships comes second in life after independence and 'success' is also commitment phobic. While Pawan Raj Gandhi, PRG, for short, a suave multi-millionaire is adamant on winning his love and deems it as the victory there is. What happens when stars cross? Does Sampreet manage to save her marriage? This is the rest of the story.

Dulha Mil Gaya offers no respite with a very stale storyline that is highly clichéd, predictable and amateurish. Mudassar Aziz's direction is credible but when it comes to writing, he belongs to the old school of film-making and follows the conventional methods. The writing has many gaping flaws, which are difficult to absorb after a point. Like the village girl travelling all the way to Tobago all alone as she takes upon herself to tame her husband and win him back.

The film could have done without a lot of things - the unwanted comedy, some really cheesy dialogues and too many characters. The interesting sequences are so few and far while comedy too is restricted. And when everything else fails to provoke emotions, the background score struggles hard to achieve that. The characterizations are as much clichéd as their conflicts. The climax too is a disappointment.

When it comes to acting, Sushmita Sen outshines the rest. She is a diva indeed and enacts her part effortlessly. Fardeen Khan is a revelation compared to his earlier flicks and he nonetheless needs to take acting lessons to get better. Ishita Sharma comes across confidently in her role. Shah Rukh Khan doesn't rise above the regular in his extended cameo. Johnny Lever is wasted in an inconsequential serious role.

To sum-up, Dulha Mil Gaya is stale and predictable. For SRK fans, desperate to catch the actor on the big screen would be in for disappointment with what DMG has to offer. You would be better off waiting for My Name is Khan's release. Recommended to skip.
