Ballygunge Court Bengali Movie

The film centres around an apartment building, showing the lives of the middle-aged and retired couples who live there. Nearly all their children have left to pursue a life of their own, leaving their parents barren and isolated. Tragedy strikes when one Christmas Eve, as the senior most couple are murdered by burgulars and their bodies not discovered till days later. The incident strikes the knell for the others, even as they try to come to terms with their desolation, picking up the loose strings of their lives, and somehow continuing to live in anticipation of death. The film seeks to probe into the malady that is eating into our society like vitriol, creating a vicious circle that people are doomed to survive in, leading to a point of no return.
