M3V Tamil Movie

Director of the award- winning music audio "Ho Gayi Hai Mohabbat" Krishnan Seshadri Gomatam has come out with a Tamil film which, according to him, will break new ground in film-making.

After a few ad and short films, he has made "Mudhal Mudhal Mudhal Varai" (M3V), a collage of conventional beliefs and contemporary ideas. It shows life in a city's perspective.

In Krishnan's words, M3V takes the region out of regional cinema... it is a Tamil movie for a pan-Indian audience... a language film at home all over urban India, reflecting the dramatically changed new India we live in.

An ambitious venture featuring 100 new faces, the film has been in the making for two years now. It has also passed the censors.

While it is not revealed what actually is the story of the film, the film-maker would only say that this is a fun movie, "young, vivid, urban, naughty and unconventional, sensitive and philosophical". It targets the educated and urban audiences. The movie deals with the lifestyle of these city dwellers, their existential issues, goals, beliefs, love lives, passions and values.

Krishnan S. Gomatam says the script is decidedly urban with no clichés. It has "world class" music, contemporary costumes, smart cast and stunning locations.

He claims M3V is neither "mainstream (commercial) cinema) nor "art film", but a new genre of "engaging entertainment" or "i-cinema" that follows from the phenomenal advancements in film-making. It is entirely digital from shoot-to-screen. The new technology used to make this film offers dramatically different avenues for movie making. It allows angles and intimacies hitherto unseen in films.

New faces C.P. Satyajit, a professional photographer in real life, and Keevna, a doctor in London, are the lead pair. The 98 others in the cast also play substantial roles. "The characters are real; the sort of people we meet in everyday life _ educated, modern and driven."

The story, screenplay, dialogue, choreography and direction are by Krishnan Seshadri Gomatam. His team behind the camera includes some of the finest technicians _ cinematographer Fowzia Fathima, music-director Aslam Mustafa, editor B.Lenin, art-director Thotaa Tharani and sound-engineer Lakshmi Narayanan.

Krishnan Gomatam has assisted ace director Mani Ratnam and P.C. Sriram in Direction and run an ad film-making company with Santosh Sivan.
