Ganesha Mathe Bandha Kannada Movie
Ganesha Maththe Bandha is a clean and healthy comedy entertainer directed effectively by Phani Ramachandra who remains the only director to make competent comedies with reasonable budgets. He makes films revolving around the traditional bound and value based lower middle class families. The light hearted scripts reflect the many contradictions in the lower middle class families.
And Phani who is himself a good writer has always won laurels through his effective screenplay and very effective punch dialogues. And like in many of his earlier films, Ganeshana Maththe Bandha also scores because of some exceptional performances from the artists.
Ganesha Maththe Bandha is the latest addition to the healthy comedies that came from the stable of Phani Ramachandra whose previous films like Ganeshana Maduve, Gowri Ganesha, Ganeshana Galaate and Ganesha Subramanya were all commercial hits that appealed to different segments of the audience particularly the family audience.
Ganeshana Maththe Bandha boasts of some wonderful performances from veteran artists like Anant Nag, Vinaya Prakash, Doddanna. Watch the film for a good two hour laugh.
Phani Ramachandra has narrated the film in a refined manner and intelligently interpolates a debate on the stability of a love or an arranged marriage in the story. This is the major point which works for the film.
Phani has opted for a story that essentially belong to lower middle class and many songs in the film are situational.
V.Manohar who has composed the songs of the film could have done a better job. Even the songs choreography leaves much to be desired. Renu's camera work does not show any measure of superiority. If the quality of the music and photography had been elevated in this film, then Ganesha Maththe Bandha could have been a top class product.
Phani who has unleashed his full potential as a writer should have realized the importance of these two segments which have become essential components of top class films.
Anant Nag and Vinaya Prakash score major points in this film through their natural acting. And Doddanna's brief role deserves lot of appreciation. Vijaya Raghavendra does a neat job in the role of Ganesha and he has also rendered play back for a very good song in the film. New comer Pragna comes out with a Natural refined performance and Neetu has been showing lot of improvement in her acting capabilities. Vishal Hegde sparkles in his role.
Though technically the film could have been better, Ganesha Maththe Bandha is a sure entertainer for the family audience. Enjoy this healthy comedy.
