Anjadhiru is one of the best films that has hit the screen in the recent days. The film which is a remake of Mysskin's Tamil Hit Anjaathe is narrated as a gripping tale of high emotional content.

Excellent performances of many veteran actors like Avinash, Ravi Kale and Dwarakish, Aadi Lokesh, new comer Muralidhar along with some top class technical work ensures a top quality for the film. Director Janardhan has extracted best work from all his unit members to make a high rated engrossing, emotional thriller.

Anjaathe was the second directorial venture of director Mysskin who made a sensational debut through his first film Chiththiram Pesudhadi. Incidentally, Chiththiram Pesudhadi is also now being remade in Kannada. By remaining faithful to the original, Anjadhiru director Janardhan has paid loads of tribute to the talent of sensible Mysskin.

Very rarely do we see remake films in Kannada strengthened through additional creative inputs. Recently Upendra directed Budhdhivantha was one such film which was much better than the original presentation. In a film like Anjadhiru, Janardhana had very few options to add on elements of creativity, as the original film itself was the best engrossing tale narrated on screen. Certainly Mysskin would have been greatly embarrassed even if some minor alterations would have been made in his well written script.

However, the film has some negative points. Unfortunately for the director, lead actor Prashanth has not been able to match the requirements of the role of a cop. His body language and expressions are totally inadequate. Even Shubha Poonja could have worked hard to give justice to her role. Despite the fact that these two young artists have tried to do their best, they some how rank lower in comparison with the artists of the Tamil film.

Kudos are due to the director for getting the best of the other new artists including Muralidhar who plays the most challenging role in the film.

The story revolves around Sathya Murthy and Krupa who are thick friends. Born to a family of Policeman, both of them are neighbours. But as destiny would have it, a change of fortunes in their life leads to misunderstanding. Krupa becomes a sworn enemy of Sathya. Sathya who becomes a Police officer by default is secretly in love of Krupa's sister Uththara. Krupa starts hating Sathya thinking that he has robbed his chance of becoming a Police officer by using dirty tricks. Sathya is unable to prove his innocence to his friend and the gap gets widened. In a parallel track, a gang of kidnappers led by a cruel rapist Daya are on a kidnapping spree in the city. Young girls become victims of rape and kidnap for ransom game. Sathya is investigating this case along with a team of policeman headed by Keerthi. In a twist to this investigation, Sathya also finds that Krupa has been engaged by Daya. Finally Daya and Krupa are shot by the police team.

The technical values of the film is of high standard. The film's main strength is the script which does not drag for a moment.

Go and watch the film without any hesitation.
