Sanju Weds Geetha Kannada Movie
"Sanju Weds Geetha" is a good attempt to make a clean and touching movie. Despite loopholes in the second half, "Sanju Weds Geetha" engages the audience with its neat narration, out of the box story, and superb technical values. The performances of the artists are equally brilliant.
Director Nagashekhar, who has written the story and screenplay, has put in his best efforts to make a visually stunning movie and melodious, foot tapping numbers by Jessie Gift make it a good watch.
The film is made with such good taste and commitment that you can see every artist and technician putting their best efforts. The high point of the film is Sathya Hegde's cinematography. The visuals of Ooty, Madikeri and Sakleshpur are top class, while the eerie feeling in the jail sequences showcase's the director's creativity.
Nagashekhar should be complimented for handling a sensitive and serious issue like child abuse with positive overtones. He has not succumbed to the pressure of using it to raise the emotional content of the film.
There is so much drama, emotion and romance in the film that Nagashekhar didn't bother to look at logic in the script.
Sanju returns to his native place Madikeri after finishing his college education. He meets Geetha and instantly falls in love with her. But Geetha hates men and feels that men have no compassion. Sanju's tries woo her and finally Geetha starts liking him. Then Geetha reveals that she is a victim of child abuse, a fact she had hidden for so many year. When both the lovers decide to tie the knot, same guy attacks Geetha again and tries to rape her.
In a fit of rage, Sanju kills the rapist and goes to jail. Watch the film to know what happens after that.
Ramya is outstanding as Geetha and wins the hearts of audience, a good choice for the challenging role. She deserves accolades for her poignant performance. Talented Sreenagara Kitty fits into the role and clearly matches Ramya's brilliance in many emotional sequences.
Sharan is another actor who has done his best in the role. Artists like Rangayana Raghu, Jai Jagadish, Suhasini Manirathnam, Sharat Lohithaswa sleep walk through their respective roles.
Technically, the film is brilliant - be it Sathya Hegde's cinematography, music directorJessie Gift, background composer Sadhu Kokila and editor Bony Harsha - all have given their best.
"Sanju Weds Geetha" is a good film with top notch performances and superb technical standards.
