Utt Pataang is a high voltage comedy thriller involving these five characters and how their paths though varied from each other but get embroiled in a wild goose chase for the booty. Vinay Pathak in the double role plays the good and the bad guy at the same time.
Five characters from different walks of life a man on the brink of a break up (Vinay Pathak), his private detective friend (Saurabh Shukla), a heartbroken woman (Mona Singh), a French obsessed gangster (Vinay Pathak again) and the gangster's moll (Mahie Gill) are all thrown into a dangerous game of cat and mouse one night over a money deal gone horribly wrong, and getting worse as the night wears on.
