Balyakalasakhi Malayalam Movie

Pramod Payyanur scripts and directs ‘Balyakala Sakhi’ based on the story of famous writer Vaikkom Muhammed Basheer. ‘Balyakala Sakhi narrates the love story of Majeed (Mammootty) and Suhara (Isha Talwar).

Majeed and Suhara are childhood sweet hearts .Their love grows with their age but their families are not in support of their relationship.

The story moves forward from the view point of Majeed who reaches Kolkata in search of a good life. There he is completely preoccupied with the sweet memories of Suhara and the romantic moments they spend together in their village.

He toils hard in Kolkata to earn money and dreams of returning to his native place and marrying Suhara. The harsh realities that Majeed has to face in his life form the rest of the story.

Mammootty does double role as Majeed and his father. Meena dons Majeed’s mother. Sunil Sugatha, Mamukkoya, Sasikumar, Atlas Ramachandran, KPAC Lalitha, Seema Biswas, Kavitha Nair also do important roles.

Hari Nair is the cinematographer. K Raghavan Master and Shahabas Aman compose music.
