Kaattu Puli is an act of raping cinema.

This weekend was a rigorous workout. If Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal and Ambuli nearly sucked the life out of me, Kaattu Puli pushed me off the edge.

I'm quite sure director Tinnu Verma was hibernating for twenty years before he began working on Kaattu Puli. He has no mind of his own. He has not been keeping up with the latest cinema either. The formula he uses here is not just stale, it's obsolete. I haven't seen such an earnest, collective exodus in the theatre. It was a small crowd that occupied the theatre but the crowd that walked out was thrice in size. Now how does a film manage something like that?

I didn't think there was a more unproductive film factory than Kollywood. Turns out, there is. This dubbed version of a Hindi film is an act of raping cinema. For film lovers, this is torture porn. Doctors work hand in hand with cannibals for illegal organ harvesting, that's the film's premise.
