Jan 18, 2017 Shweta Kulkarni

The recently held Jio Filmfare Awards 2017 was a glittering affair, with B-town beauties putting in an extra effort to make some impeccable style statements on the red carpet. However, like any other event, Filmfare awards too witnessed fashion hits and misses.

While some celebs like Sonam Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin, Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon and others impressed, there were quite a few who missed the mark.

Here are our picks for the best and worst dressed Bollywood divas at the 2017 Filmfare Awards.

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor is known to bring avant-garde fashion to the table, and this time around she gobsmacked us with this mesmerizing sheer, appliqué ensemble by Elie Saab. Sonam, who also won the critic’s award for best actor for her film Neerja, looked absolutely ethereal as she walked down the red carpet. A true winner in every sense.

Richa Chadha

The color of her dress was beautiful but Richa didn’t draw much attention with her skin-hugging, faux-wrap gown by Papa Don’t Preach.

Disha Patani

The Kung Fu Yoga actress chose a daring black number from Nicolas Jebran for her debut at Filmfare Awards and effortlessly slayed with her sexiness.

Preity Zinta

It was nice to see her after so long and dressed in a yellow one-shoulder gown designed by Vidhi Wadhwani, Preity Zinta was pure glamour.

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt not only won the best actress in leading role award for Udta Punjab but was also one of the best-dressed actresses on the red carpet. Dressed in a Prabal Gurung gown with a voluminous skirt, Alia looked elegant.

Kriti Sanon

Sleek and sexy, Kriti Sanon effortlessly rocks the red carpet look each and every time. For the Filmfare Awards night, the Raabata actress chose a Shehlaa gown with a thigh-high slit to make heads turn. She looked resplendent.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra

Seldom does the lady go wrong with her red carpet outings and this time around too, Shilpa, as usual, was head to toe perfection in a yellow flamenco-esque thigh-high slit ensemble by Manish Malhotra.

Bhumi Pednekar

She maybe a complete charmer onscreen but the same can’t be said about her understanding of fashion. The Dum Laga Ke Haisha girl’s cut-out black gown from Hemakaul fashion label was a fail on the red carpet.

Sonakshi Sinha

The Noor actress made jaws drop as she strutted down the red carpet in a ruffled, shoulder-baring Gauri and Nainika gown. Sonakshi was all chic and sexy at the Filmfare Awards night.

Jacqueline Fernandez

The Dishoom actress was a vision to behold in a one-shouldered intricate grey gown by Kuwait based label — Ali Younes.

Sunny Leone

Everything about Sunny Leone and her marsala body-hugging gown by Swapnil Shinde was simply stunning.

Neha Dhupia

Usually known to create quite an uproar with her style quotient, the Moh Maya Money, actress Neha Dhupia failed to make an impact with her black and white Victorian style ensemble.

Parineeti Chopra

The Meri Pyaari Bindu actress pulled off this vibrant pink gown by Filipino designer — Mark Bumgarner to perfection. She looked simply pretty at the Filmfare awards night.

Sridevi Kapoor

Sridevi at 53, time and again, has proved that she could shine as sparkly as the younger starlets. On the Filmfare awards night, she stunned in an intricate black gown by Ali Younes.

Tamannah Bhatia

Tamannaah has a knack of striking the perfect balance between sexy and elegant. And she was pure glamour in a metallic Peter Langner gown at Filmfare Awards.

Kalki Koechlin

Kalki has a penchant for the unusual and her metallic Nikhil Thampi gown with a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit was a complete hit at the award function.
