A culinary expert as hero

National Award dinning director Raju Murugan is getting ready for his next but this time he would not be wearing the director’s cap but he would be penning the story and dialogues for a new film that had its customary Pooja yesterday, the 23rd November.

This film will be directed by Raju Murugan’s brother Saravanan Rajendran and would be produced by Giant Films Company whose maiden production venture will be this film. Saravanan Rajendran had his direction training from Balu Mahendra and Kamal Haasan.

Ranga from Coimbatore is making his entry into Kollywood through this film as hero. Talking about how Ranga was brought into the project, Raju Murugan says, “We are fortunate to have a good producer and a director but were scouting for a right kind of led. That’s when the director and I went to a wedding in Kovai. The food there was very nice and we wanted to meet the cook to congratulate. It was Ranga who was in charge of cooking and the moment we saw him, both of us knew that he is the hero that we were searching for the film. We asked him but he was hesitant initially but later agreed. Shwetha Tripathy is the heroine for this film which will have Sean Roldan as music composer, Selvam as DoP.
