A Tamil film on gay love

Tamil cinema is yet to wake up to alternate sexuality. But it looks like the day is not too far away for, here will be a film that will finally handle this subject. This film titled as En Magan Magizhvan will be directed by Lokesh that would feature Anupama Kumar, Jayaprakash, and Kishore along with Abishek George of Demonte Colony.

Elaborating on his film, Lokesh says, “Despite all the focus on the community, many people don't even understand the differences between what transgender, gay or lesbian. My film will make people understand the hardship faced by the LGBT community here. It is a story is about how a mother accepts her gay son,"

About the funding for this film, Lokesh explains, “A few of my friends have invested in this project, and all the actors agreed to act for free. The shoot will begin in Kerala in the first week of March. I know that this is more on the lines of parallel cinema, and so, we are planning to send it to as many film festivals as possible."
