Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ which released in December 2016 continues to make an impact, not just in India but across the globe.

The biographical sports drama based on wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters has created history once again by becoming the first Indian film to have collected 2000 crore, courtesy China’s box office.

‘Dangal’ has also become the highest-grossing non-Hollywood film to ever release in China, where it took over the top spot from Hollywood’s ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy: Volume 2’. It's the fifth non-English-language film to cross the $300 million mark in worldwide box-office receipts, and it's made it to the list of the top 20 highest grossers in China. Even Chinese premier Xi Jinping mentioned to Indian prime minister Narendra Modi that he enjoyed the film.

It is indeed a proud moment. Meanwhile, on the work front, Aamir Khan is currently working on Yash Raj Films’ ‘Thugs Of Hindostan.’
