Aaranya Kaandam director's next with Vijay Sethupathi

Aaranya Kaandam, the debut directorial of Thiyagarajan Kumararaja has many patrons and the film is much appreciated and respected. It also won the director the National Award for Best First Film of a Director.

It has been more than five years since the release of the film and the director was yet to announce his second directorial venture, although he made his contribution to the story and screenplay of journalist turned Sudhish Kamat’s project and also to Gautham Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal in the capacity of a script consultant.

Now talks have emerged that he has zeroed in on Vijay Sethupathi for his second film, which will have two important male leads. There are also strong rumors that for the second lead, he is considering Nivin Pauly or Fahadh Faasil. Talks are on with both the talented actors and we would have to wait and watch who bags this role.
