Aashiq Abu to direct a movie on Munnar agitation

Aashiq Abu plans to film the on-going Munnar agitation. The pre-production works are in progress.

The women tea plantation workers went on a strike without the support of any trade union or political parties demanding increase in bonus and daily wages.

The first phase of agitation ended with the company’s agreement to their major demands. But later the agitation restarted and is continuing as the agreed demands are not implemented.
