Abhishek Bachchan is on a roll this year. After staying away from movies for almost a year, Jr. Bachchan as of now has signed as many as six films. And interestingly most of these films will see him playing characters with some special abilities and traits.

So, while in Prabhu Dheva’s ‘Lefty,’ one will see him doing everything with the left hand, in ‘Sanak’ he will be playing a man with a bad temper. And now it is learnt that Abhishek Bachchan is all set to play a man with superpowers in Priyadarshan’s next, which is tentatively titled ‘Bachchan Singh.’ Abhishek will be seen playing a corrupt paan-chewing cop, who suddenly discovers that he can get anything he wants by clapping his hands.

Confirming the same, Priyadarshan said to a daily, “Before the interval, Abhishek plays a corrupt cop and then turns a saviour of sorts with powers. He has the power of clapping to get what he wants but he realises it later. It’s my first masala film. While we have tentatively called it ‘Bachchan Singh,’ we may change the name later.” He further added, “It’s a fantasy fiction film, humorous, something along the lines of ‘Mr India’ and ‘The Mask.’”

The film, which has been written by Rumi Jaffrey and produced by Rajat Rawail, will go on the floors in November this year.
