Actor-director Mahendran passes away

Noted filmmaker and actor Mahendran passed away in Chennai on Tuesday morning. He was 79. As a director, Mahendran is known for his well-acclaimed films like ‘Mullum Malarum’, ‘Johny’, ‘Uthiri Pookal’ and ‘Nenjathai killathey’ etc.

He made his directorial debut with ‘Mullum Malarum’ in 1978. Last week, the director was admitted to a hospital in Chennai due to health-related issues. Recently, he was seen as an actor in ‘Theri' and ‘Petta’.

A public homage session will be arranged at his residence in Pallikaranai. Mahendran was last seen as an actor in Atharvaa starrer ‘Boomerang’. Click the Movie button below for more info:
