Actor Jayaram's elephant dies

Actor Jayaram’s affection for elephants is well-known. When he started acting in films, he had bought an elephant and named it Kannan. The elephant was later featured in films like Manasinakkare and several ad films. The elephant was also part of several temple festivals.

However, Kannan died recently due to ailment. The elephant was ailing for some time and was under treatment. Jayaram had visited the elephant a week ago before he set out for shooting his upcoming film, Salalm Kashmir directed by Joshiy.

Though Jayaram could not attend the funeral of the elephant, he was in constant touch with the team who was taking care of the elephant. Seeing his grief, director Joshiy gave a day’s off from the shooting of the film too.
