In the recently released and appreciated film Aramm, actor Ramachandran who did notable characters earlier in ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’, ‘ Jigardhanda’ and ‘Sathuranga Vettai’ played the father of the child who falls into the pit. He has been receiving a lot of appreciation from many.

Speaking about it, Ramachandran says, “I am basically from Theni. I came to Chennai around 17 years back for work and I wanted to join as an assistant cinematographer. But I landed up being an assistant director and started doing small roles as an actor. One led to another and eventually became friends with director Gopi Nainar and got this wonderful opportunity in ‘Aramm’.

When Gopi sir gave me ‘Aramm’ script for reading I just loved it thoroughly and asked him who all are playing the key roles without knowing I am going to do one. Even when I read it, I realized and got myself connected to this role. Gopi Sir’s vision, script, passion, and hard work were amazing. He was very clear on what he wanted out of actors. I am indebted to him for having given me such a role in ‘Aramm’. Nayanthara madam was such a simple human being and she encouraged me a lot and was always pleasant. I am very happy with the response ‘Aramm’ and my role in it is getting from the Tamil cinema audience and I am looking forward to doing many such solid roles”.
