Actor Viju Khote is no more

Veteran actor Viju Khote passed away at the age of 77 in Mumbai on Monday. The actor, who is popular for his role of Kalia in the film ‘Sholay’, has appeared in more than 300 Hindi and Marathi films and numerous television shows and plays.

The actor made his big screen debut with the 1964 film ‘Ya Malak’. His popular films include ‘Sholay’, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, ‘Qurbani, Karz’, ‘Nagina’ and ‘China Gate’, among others.

Viju Khote is the younger brother of veteran actress Shubha Khote. Their father Nandu Khote was also a noted stage actor. He was last seen in the 2018 film ‘Jaane Kyun De Yaaron’.
