AD release advances, casts a shadow over small budget films

Many small budget films were supposed to be releasing this week prior to the big releases of Pawan’s Attarintiki Daredi and NTR’s Ramayya Vastavayya. But due to some unusual developments, the makers of Attarintiki Daredi have decided to release the film in this week itself.

Hence the makers of the small budget films are in a dilemma as whether to release their films or not.

First to opt out of the race is Suresh productions. Though it is a big banner, it had produced a small film Nenenm Chinnapillana with a relatively new cast and has decided to postpone the release of the film. It was to be released on September 27.

The other small films that could be postponed because of the release of AD are Sundeep Kisan’s DK Bose, Nara Rohit’s Shankar and Prince’s Manasuni Maya Cheyake.

But the confusion for these films will continue as in the next coming weeks many big budget film releases are lined up. Those in the pipeline for release are NTR’s Ramayya Vastavayya, Ramcharan’s Yevadu, Nagarjuna’s Bhai and also Nagachaitanya’s Autonagar Surya.

Let’s hope that these small films find a way to get releases soon.
