After Haseena, Shraddha Kapoor is all set to play Saina Nehwal

No one can deny that Shraddha Kapoor’s career is on an upswing right now. Her soon-to-be released film ‘Half Girlfriend’ is already creating quite a buzz, and just recently the ‘Baaghi’ actress made quite an impact with her look for the biopic on Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar — ‘Haseena: The Queen Of Mumbai.’

And while we are still trying to get over her jaw-dropping transformation for ‘Haseena,’ there comes the news that Shraddha has now been roped in for another biopic titled — ‘Saina,’ where she will play the role of ace badminton player Saina Nehwal.

Shraddha broke the news through her twitter handle, where she posted, “SAINA NEHWAL - The former World no 1 badminton player. An Indian girl. An inspiration to millions. A youth icon in the truest sense. @NSaina. Her journey to the top has been fascinating and I am honored to be given this opportunity to play her in my next film ‘SAINA’ (sic),”

In her next tweet, Shraddha wrote, “The preparation for this film is going to be very, very challenging. It’s probably going to be my most difficult film till date... Wish me luck everyone.”

‘Saina’ will be directed by Amole Gupte and is scheduled to release next year.
