After Oviya, Hansika also walks out of Katteri

Director Deekay after his first two films, Yamiruka Bayamaey and Kavalai Vendam, had begun a project titled Katteri. This film has been in the news ever since it was announced.

As regards the cast, there has been constant opting out and replacements that are happening in the film. The film’s makers announced first that Tollywood star Aadi and Oviya as its lead characters. The film was supposed to be Aadi's debut vehicle in Kollywood. Later, Aadi was replaced by Vaibhav.

The latest we hear is that even Oviya is out of the project, and that Hansika has replaced her. But it looks like Hansika has also opted out of the project citing date issues. It is reported that Hansika was pretty keen on being a part of Katteri, but her budget, dates and logistics didn’t work out. She came on board without even reading the script, because she wanted to work with Deekay but now it looks like she has changed her mind. Talks are on with Kajal Aggarwal and Tamannaah for the film.
