Amaran as art director for Mani Ratnam

Director Mani Ratnam’s next Kaatru Veliyidai has completed a schedule in Ooty and is said to be aiming to go to Kashmir for their next. The film features Karthi, Aditi Rao Hydari, RJ Balaji, Shraddha Srinath, Delhi Ganesh and others. Ravi Varman handles the camera while AR Rahman scores music for the film.


The latest news on this front is that Amaran has been roped in as the art director for this film. Amaran has been closely associated with director Mysskin and was also known for his work in Rajinikanth’s Lingaa.


Sharing his excitement, Amaran says, “Mysskin sir introduced me to Mani Ratnam when I was called in to design for the felicitation ceremony of Veenai S Balachander. Impressed by my work, Mani sir offered me the chance to work in Kaatru Veliyidai. I was taken by surprise.” Amaran will be working with Sharmistha Roy, a popular production designer from Mumbai.
