AR Rahman shortlisted for World soundtrack awards

Music composer AR Rahman has brought in a lot of laurels to the nation, the prime one being the Oscar Awards. Now, it looks like he in on his way to win another prestigious award which is the World Soundtrack Public Choice Award.


Sharing the information in his social media page, Rahman says, “Delighted to be shortlisted for the World Soundtrack Awards Public Choice Award for Viceroy's House / Partition https://www.wsavoting.com/en/publicchoice/47”.


Viceroy's House is British-Indian historical film directed by Gurinder Chadha of Bend it like Beckham and Bride and Prejudice fame. The film features Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson, Manish Dayal, Huma Qureshi, and Michael Gambon and was released in the UK in March 2017. AR Rahman is the music composer of the film. This would be another feather in his already decorated cap.
