Arun Raja Kamaraj to turn into director
Aug 30, 2017 JBArun Raja Kamaraj who shot to fame with his Neruppu Da number from Rajinikanth’s Kabali has sung quite a few energetic numbers in a few films. He is also a lyricist. Now he will be turning into a director with a film that would be sports based dealing with women’s cricket.
Though a sports drama, the film will reportedly concentrate on the relationship between a father and his daughter, who aspires to become a cricketer. About his maiden directorial, Arun Raja says, "I have taken inspiration from several real-life incidents to pen this script. Irrespective of the sport, or the gender, family's support is important for a sports person to succeed."
The casting for the film is underway now. As the story requires several girls who can play cricket, auditions are happening right now for the heroine and also for the supporting artistes. Arun Raja also says that he had always wanted to become a director and had even participated in Naalaya Iyakkunar and had worked as an assistant director in Vettai Mannan before he became a lyricist and singer. He also guarantees that his film will be one of its kind.
