Arun Vijay's family caught in the floods

Arun Vijay who impressed people with his antagonist act in Ajith’s Yennai Arindhaal was in for a huge shock when his family was caught in the floods that have havocked Chennai and other parts in Tamil Nadu.

Arun Vijay was in Mumbai when his mom, her cousin sister and kids were in their Ekkatuthangal house when the water level was getting increased due to the outflow from a reservoir nearby. Arun was seeing waters rise in his house through the CCTV camera instilled in his house but could not do anything as later power outage resulted in the camera going off.

Later he called up his brother-in-law film director Hari who sent his assistant directors to rescue the family members but by then, the area was cordoned off by army. It appears that the family members were able to be rescued through boats only next evening. Meanwhile, Arun took a flight to Hyderabad and then to Bangalore from where he drove to Chennai. Arun says it was a very scary experience for him.
