Arvind Swamy is Bollywood bound

Actor Aravind Swamy who recently returned to acting with Mani Ratnam’s Kadal will act in a Hindi film. He is foraying into Hindi after about 13 years.


It is reported that the actor will do the role of hero in the remake of the award-winning Marathi film Kaksparsh.


Mahesh Manjrekar, who directed the Marathi film, will direct the remake. It will be a bi-lingual and will be made in Hindi and Tamil. Aravind’s last Hindi release was Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya, in the year 2000.



Aravind Swamy has apparently been attracted to the film’s subject and the film is a period drama which is about a Brahmin widow's relationship with her reformist father-in-law.
