Video jockey-turned-actor and singer Ayushmann Khurrana keeps great hopes and faith on his upcoming film "Hawaizaada". The period movie will bring him better recognition as an actor, change his image, he believes.

Directed by Vibhu Puri, "Hawaaizaada" is based on the life of Talpade, who is believed to have built India's first unmanned airplane.

"After 'Vicky' Donor, Vibhu Puri (director) offered me this amazing story of an unsung hero. The way he has fictionalised it, the way he has taken the creative liberty and added his own flavour to the story of a guy who made world’s first aircraft is incredible", Ayushmann said at the trailer launch of the film.

"So, I think there was no plan, but, yes, this will be an image change by default because I was playing quintessential north Indian guy till now and this time I am playing a Maharashtrian”, he added.

The movie has been pretty tough in its making, he recounts.

“Yes, 'Hawaaizaada' was a difficult film. It was as difficult as making the first aircraft of the world. The film took almost one-and-a-half years to complete".

The film also stars Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Sharda. It will hit screens Jan 30, 2015. Click the Movie button below for more info:
