Baahubali 2's Tamil distribution rights sold

Baahubali, the blockbuster of 2015 directed by SS Rajamouli had featured Rana Daggubati, Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan and others. The film was unanimously appreciated for its content and presentation.

The sequel of this film was said to have hit the screens this year as stated in the end credits of the film but since the shoot had begun recently, the makers have announced April 28th 2017 as the release date.

Even before the completion of the film, the distribution rights of Baahubali — The Conclusion, have been bagged by SN Rajarajan of K. Productions, Speaking about how he bagged Baahubali’s rights, Rajarajan reveals, “Yes, it was to some extent through Rana’s connection that I got the Baahubali 2 release rights in Tamil and also TN rights for the Telugu release — as well as the overseas rights for Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.” The price of the deal was not disclosed by Rajarajan though.
