Bhama in 'Ramanujan'

Renowned mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan’s life story is made into movie. The movie narrates his life story from his childhood at Kumbhakonam to his evolvement as a world renowned mathematician. The movie also showcases how Indian society viewed such a great mathematician.

The movie titled ‘Ramanujan’ is directed and scripted by Gnana Rajashekharan who is known for his movies like ‘Mohamul’, ‘Bharathi’, and ‘Periyar’. Gemini Ganeshan’s grandson Abhinay Vaddi plays Ramanujan in this movie which is made as an Indo-British venture.

Bhama plays the lead female role as the wife of the Ramanujan. Suhasini Maniratnam plays Ramanujan’s mother. Abbas and Sarath Babu are seen in prominent roles. The cast consists of South Indian and British film, stage, and screen personalities.

‘Ramanujan’ is shot in both Tamil and English. The music is set by Ramesh Vinayakam and the cinematography by Sunny Joseph. This biographical movie is produced by the independent Indian production house Camphor Cinema.
