Mumbai, Feb 20 (IANS) Actor Jackky Bhagnani says he has stepped out of his comfort zone with new film "Rangrezz", the Hindi remake of Tamil hit film "Naadodigal".

Though the film has hints of comedy, Jackky admits "it was not easy".

"As an actor, you have to prepare a lot (for roles)... I think people who are expecting me to do something different and out of my comfort zone, I have done that in this film. I hope people like it," the 28-year-old said here Tuesday while promoting the film at Lalbaugh.

"There was always a complaint that I am doing films closer to me (who I am in real life), and not venturing out. I hope that won't be the case anymore," he added.

Jackky, son of film producer Vashu Bhagnani, made his acting debut with "Kal Kissne Dekha", a romantic comedy. Later, he featured in movies like "F.A.L.T.U" and "Ajab Gazabb Love".

Jackky says "Rangrezz" has drama and comedy, but it is essentially about friendship.

"In this film, there is comedy and drama, but more importance has been given to friendship. Wherever you are, whether in Mumbai, Lalbaugh, Meerut or Bihar, you will find that when a person is in problem, he goes first to his friend.

"In this film also, something of that sort happens with my friend. With his problem, he comes to me and the story is about how I help him," he added. Click the Movie button below for more info:
