John on date with female scribes, says no promotional stunt

Mumbai, Feb 18 (IANS) Actor John Abraham had a special date with female radio jockeys and print and TV journalists here for an open chat with them. But he says the meet should not be considered a promotional stunt for his movie "I, Me Aur Main".

"'I me Aur Main' is a very nice and a relatable film. But this is not a marketing tool. I told my producer that I want to use this opportunity to chat with journalists, to ask them if there is any issue in their life and relationships. I wanted to know their point of view," the 40-year-old said here.

The actor had a great time chatting with the ladies recently.

"I had a beautiful time, it was great. I must compliment all the journalists who were here. Actually I would not like to call them journalists, I would like to call them young, enterprising and beautiful women, who are passionate about their dreams. I think they are lovely people and I really enjoyed being with them," John said.

John believes it would be nice for other actors to follow suit.

"In future, if other actors could do the same, it will be great. But I think it depends from person to person. But I had a great time," he said.

"I, Me Aur Main", releasing March 1, also features Chitrangda Singh and Prachi Desai.
