Bruce Lee goes out of Pongal race

GV Prakash Kumar’s Bruce Lee directed by Prasanth Pandiraj and produced by Kenanya Films was announced as a Pongal 2017 release. In fact the makers have been constantly saying ‘annanoda varom’ implying that they would be competing with Vijay’s Bairavaa.

But it looks like, they have announced their withdrawals as adequate screens are not available for this film. As of now three films have been announced apart from Bairavaa. Bruce Lee, Puriyadha Pudhir and Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga.

With the exit of Bruce Lee, we need to see if the other two films will release for Pongal or not. Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga director Parthiban had mentioned that if he does not get enough screens, he would not release the film now. Since Vijay has a huge fan following and Bairavaa is much awaited, the other films are feeling the pinch. We need to wait till the final day to know the position of these films.
