C S Amudhan to begin Tamizh Padam 2

Tamizh Padam, the first spoof film in Tamil cinema, is all set to get a sequel. The film was directed by CS Amudhan and had Mirchi Shiva and Disha Pandey as the leads. The supporting cast included MS Bhaskar, Moorthy, Manobala and Paravai Muniyamma.

The present one is titled as Tamizh Padam 2.0 and will be directed by CS Amudhan. Sashikanth of Y-Not studios, who bankrolled the recently-released Vikram Vedha, will produce this film.

As per reports the script of Tamizh Padam 2 is ready and the casting is happening. As of now, Shiva will play the hero for sure. The crew will mostly be the same people who worked in the 1st part and the shooting will commence in two months.

In the interim, twitter followers wanted Amudhan to cast Bigg Boss fame Oviya as the heroine. To which the director tweeted, “So I've received numerous requests to cast @OviyaaSweetz in #TamizhPadam2 .
