'Calendar Girls' finishes 50 percent of its shooting

'Calendar Girls' by Madhur Bhandarkar, started in July and featuring five new faces, finishes 50 percent of its shooting.

"#CalendarGirls reaches the halfway mark today! 50 percent shooting complete and going strong", Bhandarkar posted on Twitter Wednesday.

Madhur Bhandarkar had earlier said that his endeavor with "Calendar Girls" is to offer purposeful entertainment to film aficionados.

The National Award-winning film director is well-known for his female-protagonists movies (Tabu in 'Chandni Bar', Raveena Tandon in 'Satta', Konkona Sen Sharma in 'Page 3', Bipasha Basu in 'Corporate', Priyanka Chopra in 'Fashion' and Kareena Kapoor in 'Heroine').

'Calendar Girls' is expected to pack a good deal of glitz and glamour, with lots of exotic locations.
