Case filed against Latha Rajinikanth

While the Linga issue appears to have been finally brought under control, the ghost of Kochadaiyaan continues to haunt the family of superstar Rajinikanth.

An FIR has been filed in Bangalore against his wife Latha Rajinikanth in an alleged case of forgery, declaration of false statements and using of false evidence and cheating related to the 2014 released film Kochadaiyaan that was directed by Rajini’s younger daughter Soundarya. The FIR was registered on Monday, the 15th June following directions from the jurisdictional ACMM court, hearing a case filed by a private firm.

The firm tasked with the post-production of ‘Kochadaiiyan’, had alleged that after they financed for completion of the film, Latha Rajinikanth who stood as a guarantor, sold the distribution rights of the film to another firm for Tamil Nadu area, while the private firm was promised a distribution agreement in return for their funding.
