'Chankoottam' started

‘Chankoottam’ is a new movie written and directed by debutant Rafeeq Edappal and P K Radhakrishnan. The film has started its shoot in Ponnani.

The film is produced under the banner of A S R Films by Akbar Ayankalam. The movie is set in the backdrop of a colony and narrates the story of six robust young men who sets off to protect the colony and its inhabitants.

New face Rohith Menon does the lead role. Gopika Anil is the heroine. Kalabhavan Shajon, Noby, Pashanam Shaji, Irshad, Manikantan Pattambi, Mustafa, new face Rahul Krishna, Indrans, Sivakumar, Sunil Sugatha, Meghanathan, Tharikida Sabu, Saju Kodiyan, Balachandran Chullikkad, Balu, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Urmila Unni, Ambika Mohan, Geetha Vijayan, Molly Kannamali, Priyanka, Kanakalatha, and Gayatri also include the cast.

Mohan Sitara composes music for the lyrics by Rafeeq Ahmed. Shaji Jacob is the cinematographer.
