'Charlie' trailer turns a hit

The trailer of Dulquer Salman-Martin Prakkat team’s ‘Charlie’ gets a thumping reception. The trailer was watched by more than 2 lakhs people within 12 hours of its release which is a first of its kind for a Malayalam movie trailer. After one day, the trailer got more than 3 lakhs views.

The songs of the movie also turn out to be chartbusters. Gopi Sunder is the music director.

‘Charlie’ is a musical love story and is not a suspense mass action thriller, says the director. Dulquer’s character as Charlie is different from all the characters he has done so far.

The magic of Dulquer-Parvathy pair can again be seen onscreen after ‘Bangalore Days’. Aparna Gopinath is the second heroine. Nedumudi Venu, Neeraj Madhav, and Chemban Vinod also do prominent roles.

The trailer gives the feeling that the movie is a simple love story, at the same time there is a suspense element too.

The script is penned by Martin Prakkatt and Unni R. ‘Charlie’ is produced by Shebin Backer, Martin Prakkat, and Joju George under the banner of Finding Cinema.
