Cheran draws curtains on family drama

Director, actor and producer Cheran was pulled into news by her daughter after she decided to elope with an assistant director. Cheran’s daughter Damini fell in love with Chandru and they both decided to go ahead with the relationship. This irked the loving father who sought the help of police to bring his daughter back home. The entire episode lasted for over a fortnight and finally, the daughter is back with the father.

Expressing his gratitude to all those who came in support during the hard times, Cheran said, “I am happy that my daughter returned. I believe the most important reason for this relief is the police, friends and well-wishers. Many people handled the issue as it was their own problem and helped solve the matter, also providing moral support all along.” Mentioning about his daughter he said, “As for my daughter, I have left her on her own for a while, until she bounces back to normalcy. I want her to concentrate on her studies now.”
