Cricketer Ashwin in Chennai-28, 3rd part?

Cricketer Ashwin Ravichandran, as known to people, is an ardent film buff and his dubsmashes on Rajinikanth’s films are very popular. Now the sportsman has expressed his desire to be in a film.

Chennai-28, 2nd innings directed by Venkat Prabhu is a hit film and it is about cricket. After seeing the film, Ashwin tweeted, “What a wonderful movie Chennai 28(2), completely put my life on rewind mode.Genuinely felt I could have been a part of it. (sic)”.

Reacting to this, director Venkat Prabhu said, “We actually wanted him (Ashwin) to play a small cameo in this part but it didn’t materialise as he was busy with his cricketing commitments. If a part three of the film happens in the future, we will surely rope him in.
