Actor Daniel Craig has reportedly injured himself while filming the new James Bond movie "Spectre".

The 46-year-old actor, who plays the lead role in the franchise, is said to have sprained his knee while shooting a fight scene for the film, which is expected to release in November this year.

The accident took place at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire. Due to the incident, the makers are almost panicking because the film was already on tight shooting schedule.

“'...Bond' bosses would have been panicking. Filming deadlines are so tight, any sort of delay can bring mayhem to the schedules,” The Sun newspaper quoted a source saying.

The movie's extras were even told to go home for the day after Craig injured himself on the set.

“The extras were simply told, 'You can go home - Daniel's injured his knee',” the source added.

However, a spokesperson for the film assured fans later on that Craig is on the mend and filming is set to resume this weekend.

“Daniel Craig sustained a knee sprain this week while shooting a fight sequence on the set of 'Spectre'. He will be filming on Saturday as planned,” the spokesperson said. Click the Movie button below for more info:
