Decks cleared for Kaali release

Kaali is an upcoming film directed by Kiruthiga Udhyanidhi Stalin, for whom, the film is her second directorial after her debut film Vanakkam Chennai. Kaali has music composer turned actor turned producer Vijay Antony in the lead role.

The film has got into a legal tussle when distributor William Alexander of Picture Box Company filed a complaint against Fathima Vijay Antony, proprietor of Vijay Antony Pictures. Alexander had distributed Vijay Antony's previous film Annadurai and sought compensation for the film's loss. Now the Madras High Court has lifted the stay order.
