Dhanush clarifies on his tweet

Recently Dhanush came out in the open in support of Vijay’s Thalaivaa film and he tweeted, "What happened to Thalaivaa is unfair. I wish they show this kind of effort in making this country a better place to live than just to ban a film. As long as a film is not based on a true story and has fictitious characters. honestly I dont understand. I hope the matter will be resolved with the concerned parties at the earliest. I’m sure our CM will do the needful”

However, the tweet was carried by a local media incompletely thus creating a furor. Dhanush immediately issued a press statement mentioning that his tweet has been misinterpreted by a section of the media. His statement read, “Please note I have not mentioned anything against the Tamilnadu government. I am not against the government.”
