Dhanush paternity dispute case squashed

An elderly couple from Madurai had filed a case stating that Dhanush is their biological son and that he ran away from their house in his 11th grade to make a career in films. They wanted him to pay a monthly maintenance as he is doing well now.

The case has been going on for some time with arguments and counter arguments in favor and against Dhanush.

Finally, yesterday, the Madras High Court Bench quashed a case filed against Dhanush. Justice P.N. Prakash quashed the case on the ground that the couple had not made out a prima facie case for trial and their petition was devoid of merits. He also observed, “No material worth its salt has been produced to advance their case”. This should be a great relief for the National Award actor who is right now basking in the plaudits for his maiden directorial Pa.Paandi.
