Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru to be remade in Telugu

Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, directed by the young Karthik Naren has garnered all the praise. The film is doing very well at the box-office and is still going strong despite the release of Vijay’s Bairavaa which occupied a majority of the screens. It is now set to be remade in Telugu.

Karthik states that talks are going on with three leading production houses in Telugu and the agreement will be finalized by the end of January. However, he will not be directing the Telugu version as he feels it is not yet the right time to remake his own film. Also, two leading production houses from Bollywood have also initiated talks for the Hindi remake.

Meanwhile, Karthick is also getting ready for his next directorial venture with a big production house. He says, “Currently, the casting process is underway and we are looking at actors who are relatively new to Tamil audiences. This project will commence in July or August”.
