Director Mahendran falls sick at shooting spot

Director Mahendran who is very active in front of the camera these days is currently working in director Karu Palaniappan’s film Pugazhendhi Ennum Naan starring Arulnithi and Bindu Madhavi. He was shooting in Pudhukottai outside the collector office when he complained of stomach ache and breathlessness. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital there. The doctors after examining him felt that it could be a case of food poisoning.

While he was kept under observation, he developed breathlessness in the evening hours and was rushed to the ICU. Hospital confirmed his condition to be stable and is likely to be discharged.

Later his son John Mahendran took to Twitter to convey that his dad is well. He tweeted, “Appa is safe. Arulnidhi n Karu palaniappan met him and saw his Royal salute. Thanks all for your prayers. Met and Spoke to Appa. Appa is Hale n Healthy. Heartfelt thanks to all your prayers”.
