Director Suraaj irks Tamannaah, Nayanthara and other actresses

Director Suraaj, in a promotional interview for his film Kaththi Sandai had mentioned that he wants his heroines to be only glamorous and that they are paid to wear skimpy costumes. He also said that if the actresses want to be clad in saris, they can work in art films. He mentioned that audiences come to the theatres to see commercial films with glamorous heroines.

This had angered actresses big time and Nayanthara, who hardly gives interviews, had spoken to a portal where she gave a piece of her mind of the director. Tamannaah also followed suit with her version and sought an apology from Suraaj.

Soon after, Suraaj issued an apology note that said, “Respected media

I am really sorry and would like to apologize to Tamannaah and all the heroines in the industry. My intention was not to show anyone in bad light or hurt their sentiments. I am sorry once again & take back my comments”
