Director Vijay Chander about his film Sketch

Director Vijay Chander, after his debut debacle Vaalu with Simbu, is directing Chiyaan Vikram for a film titled Sketch. It has Tamannaah as the heroine and the unit recently released a lyric video Kanavae Kanavae from the film for Vikram’s birthday.

About the film and its premise, Vijay Chander says, “Films based on North Madras have always portrayed people of that area as poor, uneducated, uncouth and notorious. But, Sketch will differ from them. In Sketch, I am portraying a different dimension of North Chennai. There are well-known doctors and lawyers representing that area and are doing extremely well in life. My film is a commercial potboiler and will be a stylish take on North Chennai.”

Vikram is said to be playing a local gangster. Art director Mayapandi had erected huge sets, where the scenes in the first schedule were shot. Bhojpuri and Bollywood actor Ravi Kishan has been roped in as the antagonist. Besides them, Soori, RK Suresh, Arul Das, Malayalam actor Harish, Sriman and Sri Priyanka form the supporting cast.
